The industrial action embarked upon by members of NASU and SSANIP in the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua has been suspended.

This follows an agreement entered into by the leadership of the unions and officials of the state government led by the Head of the Civil Service, Mrs. Ekereobong Akpan, the Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Comrade Unyime Usoro and the Acting Chairman of the Governing Council of the institution, Dr. Samuel Edet.

By this development, the unions call on all staff of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua to return to their duty posts without delay.

Details of the agreement will be communicated to members.

The unions thank members for the show of solidarity during the period.
