PROGRAMME ANNOUNCEMENT: 2017 HND ADMISSIONS FOR 2017/2018 SESSION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into a two-year HND Programmes.

   HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

 I.        SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES

Higher National Diploma in

  • Science Lab Technology with option in:

Environmental Biology

 The entry requirements into the Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology is National Diploma Certificate at Lower Credit level obtained from an NBTE accredited Science Laboratory Technology Programme. Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirements into the National Diploma Programme in Science Laboratory Technology and completed the one year Industrial Work Experience Scheme. Candidates with pass level in National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology obtained from an NBTE Accredited Programme and who have had at least two years post qualification Industrial Work Experience may also apply.
II.       SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

Higher National Diploma in:

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering with option in:

Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering

 The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is National Diploma Certificate at Lower Credit level obtained from an NBTE accredited Electrical and Electronics Engineering Programme. Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirements into the National Diploma Programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and completed the one year Industrial Work Experience Scheme.

Candidates with Pass level in National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and who have had at least two years post qualification Industrial Work Experience may also apply.
III.       SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

Higher National Diploma in:

  • Architectural Technology
  • Building Technology
  • Estate Management Technology
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Urban and Regional Planning
 The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management Technology, Quantity Surveying and Urban and Regional Planning is National Diploma Certificate at Lower Credit level obtained from an NBTE accredited Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management Technology, Quantity Surveying and Urban and Regional Planning Programmes. Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirements into the National Diploma Programme in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management Technology, Quantity Surveying and Urban and Regional Planning and  completed the one year Industrial Work Experience Scheme.

Candidates with Pass Level in National Diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management Technology, Quantity Surveying and Urban and Regional Planning and who have had at least two years post qualification Industrial Work Experience may also apply.
METHOD OF APPLICATION

  1. Candidates should visit the School website http://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng  click online Application, then generate an invoice with the following details.   i. Phone number and ii. Name
  2. Candidates should go to any of the underlisted Banks with their invoice to purchase an electronic PIN and make payment of N 7,700 (SEVEN THOUSAND AND SEVEN HUNDRED NAIRA) and obtain a PIN. (INCLUSIVE OF BANK AND OTHER CHARGES).

  1. Application should thereafter be completed by visiting http://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng with the obtained pin to complete the application form with the following steps;

Highlight “Admissions” and select “Application Forms” then select your choice of programme and insert the obtained PIN (Confirmation Order) in the appropriate form to complete the application.

  1. All applications MUST be concluded on or before Friday, 23rd of March, 2018. Applicants can start and complete this process anywhere in the country. Shortlisted candidates will be published online and will write an aptitude test on Saturday 24th of March 2018.

HND Candidates are to:

1.      Attach Industrial Attachment Letter.

2.      Official ND Transcript to be sent to the Registrar.
